The Wedding Day Must Have Shots

Hope you are well and are excited for your wedding day. We know we are, and can’t wait to capture your big day! So you have arranged your wedding photographer, but you are wondering what kind of shots to expect from your wedding day?
First off, we would have to say that every wedding day is unique, with different venues, time of year and varying traditions that can dictate what kind of shots are possible. That being said, we would consider a number of shots to be must-have, and we list these below to give you an understanding of what to expect from your big day!

Let’s begin with the boys, and the groom's preparation. Suit up! In many ways, the guys have it easy, but we believe there are still some shots that must be gotten during this period of the wedding day! First would be the classic putting the suit on, with the assistance of the best man or father of the groom. This is a great shot, and can even get a bit sentimental! Then we would have to say a picture toasting the drink of choice with the groom and groomsmen is one not to be missed!

Moving onto the bride's preparation, we think a bit more action occurs here! But in regards to must-have shots, we think that shot where the mother (or bridesmaid) of the bride helps with the finishing touches of the dress to be a must have. Often a very tender and touching moment we are always honored to be able to capture! Then when everyone is ready, we think a group shot with the bride and bridesmaids is a must have, with all of you looking fabulous!

With the ceremony, there are so many opportunities for pictures to be taken, but when just focusing on those must have shots that really capture the essence of the wedding day we would have to choose the first kiss (of course), and the walk back down the aisle as a newly wedded couple. We love the joy and happiness seen in this shot, and can’t wait to capture it with you!

After your ceremony, the wedding day generally moves onto the reception for speeches, dinner and dancing! This is the time of the wedding where those more candided and relaxed (and dare we say relieved now that you are finally married!) pictures can be taken. Especially between you and your guests, where you can finally interact with all the amazing people you have invited to your wedding day. But when thinking of must have shots, we would have to say it all revolves around the dancing. Be that your first dance with your loving partner, or the dance with the parents, this is where some beautiful, authentic memories can be captured. And we love being there to capture them!
