The Pier - Geelong

This beautiful pier in the centre of Geelong began life as the Railway Pier in the mid 1850’s, where numerous shipping activities took place, with coal and wool being the most shipped items. Over the years, the pier has undergone numerous changes, with the major one being the removal of the original good sheds and the installation of the white weatherboard building in the 1990’s. This is where you’ll find the beautiful wedding venue, The Pier, today. We have been lucky enough to shoot a number of weddings at this lovely venue, and would certainly recommend it! Some of the things we love most about it is being on the water, with that relaxing sea breeze and the sweeping views this affords the photos and videos we capture for our beautiful couples!

Terindah Estate - Bellarine

Located on the Bellarine Peninsula, a stone throw from the idyllic coastal town of Portarlington, this stunning vineyard offers sweeping views of Corio Bay, and the You Yangs beyond. This makes it a joy to capture those authentic, beautiful memories for our lovely couples. With this winery opening in 2000 (and Terindah meaning ‘most beautiful’ in Indonesian, and we agree!), it also has ample spaces for an outdoor wedding, or if the weather turns bad, Terindah Estate has plenty of undercover space. We would certainly recommend you check out this award winning winery!

At The Heads - Barwon Heads

Are you in the mood for a seachange wedding (the classic Australian drama, SeaChange was filmed in Barwon Heads after all!), well you are in luck! We think At The Heads might just be what you are looking for! Situated where the Barwon River flows into Bass Strait, this charming weatherboard building is situated above the river, giving breathtaking views of the river, Barwon Heads Bluff and out into the ocean. We love capturing our beautiful couples here!

The Wool Exchange - Geelong

But what if you are looking for a wedding with a bit more of an urban feel (sand can get everywhere, right?!?!)? Enter then The Wool Exchange, right in the heart of Geelong! As photographers and videographers, we love this location. This is due to the old world charm the Wool Exchange offers as it was completed in 1928, with Geelong playing a major role in the wool industry at this time, offering our couples some beautiful shots. But we also love that due to its amazing location, it is close to other great opportunities to get our couples some beautiful, authentic memories captured. Some of our favourites would be Geelong City Hall and the National Wool Museum.

Barwon Park

Situated about a 40 minute drive from Geelong, we love the grandeur and history this beautiful venue gives our couples. Built in 1871 by Thomas and Elizabeth Austin, (Thomas did, unfortunately, give us the rabbit!) and consisting of 42 rooms which have now been restored. Every image and video captured here is enhanced by the rich pastoral heritage that can be seen in every stone and detail at this majestic property. So we do love capturing our couples wedding day at this venue!

So that is our list of some of our favourite venues to capture authentic memories with our amazing couples. We hope that it has given you some inspiration, and good luck with the rest of your planning, and regardless of the venue you choose, we hope you love it!

And if you are still looking for a wedding photographer or videographer (or why not both!), we would love to chat!

We look forward to seeing you on your wedding day!
