Hi there, and glad you found our blog! Hope you are well and excited! Because seeing as you are here you are planning a wedding in the Yarra Valley. As a wedding photography and videography company that captures authentic moments without compromising value Australia-wide, the Yarra Valley is undoubtedly one of our favourite places to capture wedding photos and videos. Due to the fertile ground left by the Yarra River, which originates in inaccessible swamps to the west of Mount Baw Baw, this region is one of Australia’s premier producers of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. As such many wonderful wineries are available for weddings!
So after more than 10 years of capturing wedding photos and videos for our lovely couples, check out some of our favourites below!
Vue on Halcyon
Situated on the western edge of the Yarra Valley, making it a shorter drive from Melbourne (which we always appreciate at the end of the night!), this vineyard is situated on the tops of a hill with those beautiful rolling hill views which is what makes the Yarra Valley so beautiful. Being a winery, of course, means that an extensive wine list is ready for you to choose from for your wedding day. Wine varieties planted at the property include Cabernet Sauvaignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling [1]. And with a kitchen on-site, your wedding day dinner is all organised as well! For the wedding photos and videos, Vue on Halcyon of course has rows of vines to walk down, but also a small chapel-style building and hay shed to capture some more beautiful photos and videos!

Coombe Yarra Valley
This beautiful historic property located in Coldstream was once the home of Dame Nellie Melba, and is still a private residence of the family to this day. So talk about a place with some history to get married in! This wedding venue not only has the historic property for your wedding photos and videos but also seven acres of gardens for not only your wedding ceremony but those couple's photos for you to cherish. The restaurant on site has a capacity for 150 people, so no one needs to miss out !

Immerse, Yarra Valley
Situated in Dixons Creek, this wedding venue and winery is on the Melba Highway, so nice easy access which is always important we think! But this venue is much more than its easily accessed location. Of course, it is again located in the Yarra Valley which is such a picturesque region of Victoria and Australia (and as wedding photographers and videographers we love this!). And with 2,000 rose bushes, wisteria (a personal favourite of our wedding photographers and videographers) and swings and gazebos there is a lot for us to play with so you get those beautiful, authentic wedding photos and videos.

Rochford Wines, Yarra Valley
If you are looking for a wedding venue that can manage a larger guest list, this might be the one for you, with the on-site restaurant and venue space able to accommodate up to 500 guests. Combine this with the Rochford wines and amazing views and this is a great location! Situated a mere 10 minutes away from Healesville, this wedding venue sits on the flood plans of the Yarra River, so as wedding photographers and videographers this gives us a bit of a different perspective on the Yarra Valley, with the wedding photos and videos looking up onto the lovely surrounding hillsides. And with the venue itself having both contemporary and historic buildings, it is certainly a venue we enjoy capturing with our amazing wedding couples.

Zonzo Estate
Another beautiful wedding venue in the Yarra Valley, Zonzo Estate is a mere 5 minutes out from Yarra Glen with the property being adjacent to the Yarra River. This estate has its beginnings at the Zonzo Restaurant, which opened in 2007. With the on-site restaurant serving Italian-styled food for your wedding day, you are sure of a good meal on your wedding day! The restaurant actually began on the Train Trak Winery, but when the opportunity arose to purchase the winery, Zonzo Estate was born. This is lucky for all the brides and grooms out there as this is a beautiful venue, with both an outdoor and chapel-style contemporary structure for your wedding ceremony. Certainly, one of our favourite venues to capture a wedding at!
